Magazines ... an enriching addiction

Good magazines are addictive — but unlike many addictions, magazines are good for you. We'd like to share some of the ones we've come across in our travels. Let us know if there are others that might appeal to our readers. Prices are in Australian dollars.

Is Not Magazine To quote from their site: "Is Not Magazine is the work of five young Melburnians. It is independently published and has no advertisements. It is available for purchase full size only. It is cheap at the price. It is unique in all the world." It is plastered on walls throughout the city so that people can stop and read on their way to and fro.

VOICEWORKS Published by Express Media, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting young people in the arts and media. The current issue is a collection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and images that reflect the theme: FUTURE SHOCK.
Includes columns on books, music, film, comics, zines, and sex, plus a good section on publishers, competitions and funding bodies. Costs $7.00 per issue, slightly less if you subscribe.
