An exhibition of contemporary bookbinding, artist’s books and textiles that shows there are many ways to bind a book and there is an intriguing world of secrecy, shame, beauty and desire to be found under the cover — the book cover, the quilt cover, or the cover of darkness.

Double Bush Binding
For Double Bush Binding, one hundred bookbinders from eight countries have bound a limited edition, bilingual book commissioned by BEA. The book, printed on handmade paper from Euraba Paper Company, contains two short stories by French author, Paul Wenz, and etchings by Australian artists, Daniel Pata, Michael Kempson and Rew Hanks. Landscape ...
This exhibition of exquisite designer bookbinding from Europe, Australia and New Zealand was organised by Bookbinding Exhibitions Australia. Sixty four books, different sizes, different materials, different ideas, but a common theme, i.e. the landscape or landscape format. A booklover's delight with beautiful work by fifty bookbinders, including Sün Evrard from France, Sabine Piérard (Australia) and Dolores Baldó Suárez (Spain).
Coloured Cloth Bindings ...
Monash University in Melbourne recently exhibited many beautiful, cloth covered books from its Rare Books Collection showing the development of book covers from 1780 to about 1920.
