Building Purulia bound by Nellie Anderson

Maroon calf binding with zipper by Nellie Anderson, Sydney.

One Book Many Bindings was shown at Tusculum in Potts Point (Sydney) from 18 October to 1 November 2003, and then toured regional NSW and Victoria. The exhibition comprised fifty bindings of Building Purulia, an essay by the Australian Architect, William Hardy Wilson (1891-1955). A limited edition of the essay was published in 1982 and the bindings in this exhibition include some from 1983 and others exhibited for the first time in One Book Many Bindings.

One Book Many Bindings was generously supported by a Visions of Australia grant.
